There are lots of products out there to help you get a screen capture or video from your desktop to create visual elements. I like Jing, it is straight forward, easy to use and FREE. Launch it and it hovers off to the side of your desktop looking like a little ray of sunshine. See something you want to take a screen capture of ? Just move your mouse over to that ray of sunshine and select the icon for screen capture. The best part is it then opens up automatically into an editor where you can add text, arrows, frames, and highlights. This is a handy tool for creating step by step directions or taking an image and drawing attention to key features. It also has a record feature. Not as sophisticated as other products but does the job. Click here to learn more and download.
