Pi ? Pie? Irrational Numbers ?? HUH?

Pi day is almost here, and if you are like Mrs.Geeky of course you are getting geeked up. But not everyone gets as geeked up as I do.  So Pi Day may sound pretty cool, and something you may want to celebrate in your class, but maybe it has been a while since your last geometry class.  No worries. Wonderopolis has a great page that explains what Pi is, along with its importance in geometry. No matter what grade you teach you will recognize math vocabulary and concepts that is most likely part of your curriculum. There are also activity ideas.  So take a few minutes and click on this link to the Wonderopolis page and I bet you will be making plans to celebrate Pi Day with your class.
